Strategic inquiry for university collaboration opportunities

Qeam performed a strategic inquiry regarding university collaboration opportunities in the domain of health, science and technology (Dutch: medisch-bèta-techniek). E.g. medical devices, medical imaging, bio-informatics, healthcare informatics, and pharma and food concepts. Collaboration enables joined education programming in the Amsterdam region.

Principals are Free University Amsterdam (VU) and INHOLLAND University. Involved parties are VU Medical Center (VUmc) and OZW (Opleidingsinstituut Zorg en Welzijn). 

The inquiry is based on interviews with executives, directors and managers active in the following organisational entities: 

  • VU : College of Deans (prof. Sminia), Faculty of Earth & Life Sciences, and Faculty of Sciences (prof. Mager). 

  • VUmc : Dean (prof. Van der Veen), Department of Physics & Medical Technology (prof. Heethaar), Department of Clinical Chemistry, Department of Rehabilitation, and Department of Informatics & Process Support (dr. Van der Palen).

  • INHOLLAND University : School of Health (drs. Urlings), School of Technology, and Research Department Medical Technology.
